Summary:

A little boy with ginger hair, whose name is James, he made a snowman.  However, when James woke up in the middle of the night, he saw the snowman came alive! He invited it into the house and gave it some clothes from his parents.  Then they ran out of the house, flying the sky. Wherever they went, they saw the earth was covered with white snow. After flying for miles through the cold, they landed on the snow in the garden. James hugged the snowman and said good night. In next day morning, James found the snowman melt in the garden.

My reflection:

  I love this storybook. If it didn't come with pictures, I think this book won't be complete. The scratch of every page makes the little boy and the snowman's short story vivid.   The texture of the pictures is delicate and warn. Even there is no much detail in this story, I was satisfied with this book's present. The book shows children's imagery through what James did with the snowman, they played in the house and wore parents clothes, just like what normal children did. The climax of this story is James and Snowman flew in the snowy night. With the view of the beautiful sky and the snowy ground, it looks just like a dream. I think that is the reason why this book is a success.
